Creating Backgrounds - Go Confidently Card

Hello Ladies,
If you feel intimidated by stamping backgrounds, fear no more.  One stamp and an ombre ink pad are all you need.   By using an ombre ink pad with multiple colors you can create a rich background full of depth.

With each new inking of the stamp re-position it and rotate it to a new angle when stamping it to paper.  You can create stunning backgrounds with little effort that make even a beginner seem like an expert.

Blank Page Muse Stamp Sets:
Other Supplies:
  • ombre ink pad
  • black ink pad
  • permanent black marker
  • gems
  • liquid adhesive
  • clear mounting block
Directions:
1. Select a small flourish stamp to create a complete background by repeatedly stamping the same design to fill the paper.  Alter the angle and placement of each new image.  Ink the stamp in various places around the ink pad so that each new impression is a mix of slightly different colors than the last.

2.Attach the stamped panel to a red card base leaving a 1" border at the top.  Trim any excess overhanging paper.

3. Stamp a sentiment using black ink along the top edge of the cardbase.

4. Stamp a female onto cardstock and use a black marker to color in the outline and create a solid black silhouette.  Carefully, cut it out and adhere to the lower left edge of the card.

5.  Stamp three butterflies onto white cardstock and cut out. Then embellish them with small gems to create their bodies.  Finally, adhere them to the cardbase.
